EDWARD VIII, 1937, set of four privately issued Australia pattern/proof crowns, struck in (.925) silver, copper, Barton's metal (gold-plated copper and golden alloy. Obverse bare-headed effigy, sculpted by Donald R. Golder, is based on a combination of the 1936 portraits submitted by McMillan and Paget. The reverse design is akin to Kurger Gray's adopted currency motif. Plain edge. One of only 850 sets issued. (4)
