EDWARD VIII, 1937, set of four privately issued pattern/proof coins in (.925) silver, copper, Barton's metal (gold plated copper) and golden alloy. Obverse effigy of King is sculpted by Donald R. Golder, based on a combination of the submitted 1936 portraits by McMillan and Paget. Reverse is the crowned shield of South Africa. One of only 350 sets issued. Plain edge. (4)
