PERSIS, Kingdom of, Artaxerxes II, (late 1st century B.C.), silver obol, (0.626 grams), obv. Artaxerxes head to left crowned, rev. fire-altar with king standing to right, bird perched on standard, Aramaic legend in exergue, (S.6196, BMC 16-17 [p.224, pl.XXXIV, 2-3]). Porous flan, otherwise fine and rare.
