EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy II, (285-246 B.C.), AE 26, (16.330 grams), Alexandria mint, obv. diademed head of Zeus Ammon to right, rev. eagle to left with open wings, standing on thunderbolt, to left a shield, around **BASILEWS [PT]OLEMAIOU*, (cf.S.7779, Sv.610, SNG Cop.114). Attractive dark patina, weak in places, otherwise good fine.
