JULIA MAESA, grandmother of Elagabalus, (A.D. 218-222), AE as, Rome mint, (9.776 grams), obv. draped bust of Julia Maesa to right, around [IVLIA] MAESA [AV]G, rev. FECVNDIT[AS AVGVSTAE], SC in exergue, Fecunditas seated to left, extending her hand to child and holding cornucopiae, (cf.S.2189, RIC 411, [Elagabalus], C.12). Nearly fine and rare.
