WORLD WAR II, a group of thirty-three covers from various Pacific islands and the Pacific rim all addressed to 'Pacific Publications and the Pacific Islands Monthly' in Sydney, consisting of covers from British Solomon Islands 'Passed by Censor' (1), Fiji (8) including one registered and one 'Opened by Examiner' label and marked 'air mail via New Zealand'; Tonga (4); New Hebrides (1) with 'Paquebot Sydney' cancellation; Cook Islands (1); Western Samoa (4) including covers fromthe trading companies of Burns Philp 'Opened by Examiner' label and Morris Hedstrom, Apia branches; Tahiti (3) all with 'France Libre Oceanie' stamps, additional military and or censor markings and labels, one registered; New Zealand (2) one from the merchant and island trading company of W.H. Grove & Sons; Canada (2); U.S.A. (7) all with additional military censor markings or cancellations and Australia (2) one OHMS 'certified official' from Victoria Barracks Melbourne with 'Aust Army P.O. 0130' CDS. An interesting group of World War II covers all addressed to the same company, including several scarce items. (33)
