JAHANGIR (A.H.1014-1037, A.D. 1556-1605), silver zodiacal rupee, (11.3 grams), Ahmadabad mint, RY 13, 1027 A.H. = A.D.1618, original issue, obv. Taurus (bull), rev. date and names of Akbar and Jahangir, (KM. 150.5, Hull 1473). Fine and rare.

The silver zodiacal rupees of Ahmadabad mint were only struck for five months, all are dated 1027, many later copies were made, this issue although worn is an original strike of A.H. 1027 (1618).
