DOMITIAN, (A.D. 81-96), AE as, Rome mint, issued A.D. 92-4, (12.798 grams), obv. laureate head of Domitian to right, around IMP CAES DOMIT AVG GERM COS XVI CENS PER P P, rev. around VIRTVTI AVGVSTI, Virtus standing to right, holding spear and parazonium, S C across field, (cf.S.909, RIC 409, C.658). Dark patina, with a few green oxidation spots, otherwise good very fine, scarce in this condition.
