GORDIAN III, (A.D. 238-244), AE as, Rome mint, obv. laureate bust to right of Gordian III, draped and cuirassed, around IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, rev. Jupiter standing facing, head to right, holding sceptre, around IOVI STATORI, S C across, (S.2514, RIC 298B, C.112). Nearly very fine.
