ILKANIDS, Local Coinage, First Period, Baidu (Baydu) ibn Teraghai ibn Hulagu, (A.H. 694) (A.D. 1294), gold dinar, Tabriz mint, (4.01 grams), but off flan, date A.H. 694 = A.D. 1294, (A.2164, cf.M.1588 [silver dirhem]). Off centred, weak in places, good very fine and rare.

Baydu ruled less than six months, but his gold coins of Tabriz mint are not particularly rare.
