ANONYMOUS (SEMILIBRAL) SERIES, (c.217-215 B.C.), Rome mint, AE sextans, (c.20 grams), obv. she-wolf suckling twins, two pellets below, rev. eagle to right closed wings, with flower in beak, ROMA before, two pellets behind; (S.84 [£225], Cr.39/3, Syd.95). Attractive dark green patina, very fine, very scarce, housed in gold wood and velvet glassed in frame with description on plaque below coin.
