PUB. LENTULUS MARCELI F. (c.100 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.78 grams), obv. young Hercules bust to right, wearing lion's skin, club over shoulder, D dot before, ROMA below, rev. Roma standing facing being crowned by Genius, D and dot to left, LENT MAR.F. in exergue, (S.-, Cr.329/1b, Syd.604a), another L. Calpurnius, Piso Caesoninus and Q. Servilius Caepio (quaestors), (c.100 B.C.), Rome mint, (3.70 grams), obv. Saturn head to right, harpa and PISO behind, CAEPIO and trident below, rev. two quaesters seated left between two ears of corn, AD.FRV.EMV./ EX S.C. in exergue, (S.244 [£75], Cr.330/1a, Syd.603). Second off centred on obverse, otherwise fine - very fine, both scarce. (2)
