Q. CASSIUS LONGINUS, (c.55 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.51 grams), obv. Bonus Eventus head to right, sceptre behind, rev. eagle right on thunderbolt, between lituus and capis, Q. CASSIVS in exergue, (cf.S.303 [£120], Cr.428/3, Syd.916, B.Cassia 7 [£45]); another Titus Didius, (c.55 B.C.), Rome mint, (2.73 grams), obv.Concord veiled head to right, legend around, rev. Villa Publica T. DIDI on left, [IMP in exergue, [VIL PVB] to right off flan, (S.-, Cr.429/2a, Syd. 901, B.Didia 1 [£120]). First coin with scratches in reverse field, otherwise very fine, second coin very good - fine and very rare. (2)
Ex Glendining's London, c.1968, for first coin, second from Mark Marsham Collection, March 16, 1984 (M.R. Roberts). 39 obverse dies used for the Titius Didius coinage as calculated by Crawford.
