PERU, Philip V, (1700-1746), cob one real, Lima mint, 1706 (dated three times), assayer R, obv. arms of Leon and Castille, L to left, 706 below, rev. two crowned pillars, 1 above, 706 below, L and R, [1]706 in legend, (Cal.1297, KM.31 unpriced). Attractive tone, usual flan, flat in places, good surfaces, very fine and a extremely rare assayer's initial and only known for this date.
