THRACE, Kingdom of, Lysimachus, (323-281 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.97 grams), Lampsacus mint, style of that issued c.297/6 - 282 B.C., obv. head of Alexander to right, with diadem and horn of Ammon, within dotted border, rev. Athena enthroned to left, supporting Nike, to left monogram HP, in exergue a crescent, to left **BASILEWS to right **LUSIMAXOU, (cf.S.6814, Thompson 47, SNG Ash. 3724, Boston 823, McLean 4492). Well centred and with a very high relief, nearly extremely fine and very scarce.

The Lampsacus mint issues of Lysimachus are considered to have a fine style of an artistic representation of portraiture of Alexander III.
