MAXIMINUS I, (A.D. 235-238), AE sestertius, Rome mint, (16.01 grams), obv. laureate bust of Maximinus to right, around IMP MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG, rev. around VICTORIA AVG, Victory walking to right, holding wreath and palm over shoulder, S C across field, (S.2356, RIC 67, C.100). Attractive brown patina, very fine or better and scarce in this condition.
