LEMPRIERE & COMPANY, Hobart Town, Van Diemen's Land, currency note one Spanish dollar, 1 June 1823 (year 182 printed) No.H.a.1, hand signed by Thomas James Lempriere, entd by C.Buch, on printed form, red-brown on white, unwatermarked paper. Note the unusual use of a lower case letter (a) in the serial number. Pieces missing at edges, four green mount marks on back, creases, otherwise good condition and rare.
