THE BANK OF AUSTRALASIA, Launceston, one pound issued at Hobart Town 3rd April 1850 (18--printed) No.36562 signed by Chas Thomson for manager entered by...uncertain signature. Imprint on centre of bottom of Perkins, Bacon & Petch, London. Vignette of Royal Arms in centre, all within rectangular spiral border with LAUNCESTON on three sides. This note mentioned in Vort-Ronald p60 also type 1(b), see p58 fig 56. Some pinholes, folds and creases, otherwise fine. The only known surviving not eof this type issued in Tasmania and as such possibly unique.
