ALFRED BOATWRIGHT, Emu Bay, Tasmania, issued at Emu Bay, one pound, currency note, dated 1st April 1879, (18- printed), number No.245, no watermark, circular value tablets in upper corners, imprint of 'C. Troedel & Co. Melb', stating on front 'On Demand please pay Bearer the sum of ONE POUND Sterling, Mr. A. Boatwright, Emu Bay or at the Bank of Australasia Latrobe', signed Alfred Boatwright, affixed with Tasmania penny red sideface stamp, and stamped with bank stamp, purple on white. Four pin-holes, some creases and folds, toning areas, otherwise nearly very fine, extremely rare and believed unique.
