GERMANY, Holleischen (Holysov) sub-camp of Flossenburg Concentration camp, scrip issue from one pfennig to five marks in various colours on cardboard, perforations around each note, with denomination and MWH as a symbol in field, (Campbell Nos 4091-4107, Stahl, No.133-149, [p.75-6]). As issued, uncirculated. (17).
This Flossenburg sub-camp located near Prague had this scrip produced for the use of prison labourers at the MWH (Metallwerkw Holleischen GmbH) munitions plant. In addition to civilians, French and Italian prisoners of war were interned there. These notes are found usually as complete sets in uncirculated condition, indicating that they are probably unissued remainders.
