ITALY, Campo Concentramento P.G.91 camp, fifty lire note, P.M. 3000 is printed under the name of the camp a hand stamped signature of the camp commandant Ten. Col. Pietro Tirone lower right, the note has been stamped Cancelled on both sides, (Campbell No. 6159 [unpriced]). Good very fine and rare.

Italy made in W.W.II some of the most profuse issues of POW currency. Each camp for the most part unlike Germany issued its own distinctive currency.
