DECIMAL SPECIMEN BANKNOTES, one each of the one dollar, Johnston/Stone DHY000000; two dollars, Johnston/Stone KBL000000; five dollars, Johnston/Stone PFY000000; ten dollars, Johnston/Stone TYV000000; twenty dollars, Johnston/Stone VGX000000; fifty dollars, Johnston/Stone YJK000000, overprinted in red 'NO VALUE', 'SPECIMEN' diagonally across note twice and 'SPECIMEN No. 0014' on the front and back of each note (R.78(b(SPC, 88SPC, 97SPC, 108SPC, 118SPC, 124(b)SPC). These notes are contained in a special book printed by the Reserve Bank and presented to airline staff in 1983 for their part in foiling an attempted robbery of notes in transit. This book is inscribed 'Presented to C.C.O'Brien as a mark of the Reserve Bank's thanks for his actions on 21 September 1982, which contributed to forestalling a theft of a large quantity of Australian currency notes'. signed R.Johnston, Governor, 21 October 1983.
