ABEL TASMAN TERCENTENNARY 1942, in anodised silver (50mm). Uncirculated and probably unique.
This medal project of the RNSNZ did not come to fruition and this issue was abandoned. This example was probably one detained by the designer James Berry from Gaunts in London 1948-9. Roy Haywood probably obtained it from Berry and it then went into Mr Lampard's Collection (see NZNJ no.77, Dec 1999, pp.18,19)
Estimate / sale price does not include buyer's premium (currently 22% including GST) which is added to hammer price.
