MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), AE 19, (6.3 grams), Macedonian issue, uncertain mint, issued c.336-323 B..C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. above club and **W*, **ALEXANDROU* between, bow and bowcase below, (cf.S.6739, Price 298, BMC 298). Attractive bronze patina, nearly extremely fine and rare in this condition.
