CARIA, Cnidos, (c.449-411 B.C.), silver drachm, (5.92 grams), obv. forepart of lion to right, rev. head of Aphrodite to right of fine archaic style, hair in lines and bound with diadem of beads, all within incuse square, (S.4833, Cahn, Knidos No.86A [same dies], cf.SNG Cop. 236). A few minor scratches on the obverse, dark tone, otherwise good very fine and rare.
