GALBA, (A.D. 68-69), AE Sestertius, issued December 68, Rome mint, (23.33 grams), obv. laureate bust to right of Galba draped, around IMP SER SVLPIC GALBA CAES AVG TRP, rev. LIBERTAS PVBLICA, Liberty standing left, with purse and sceptre, S C across field, (cf.S.725, RIC 310, C.13, dies not in Kraay [NN&M 133]). Slightly porous flan, Tiber patina, otherwise good fine and rare.
