A most important book describing some 539 tetradrachms. This hoard is one of the largest and certainly best studied hoards on this period of Sicilian coinage. The hoard has coins from the following mints Rhegion (10, see one important example in this sale), Akragas (8), Gela (29), Katane (29), Leontinoi (14), Messana (136), Naxos (5) and Syracuse (308, see an important example in this sale) The book examines Sicilian chronology in light of this and other hoards making the publication the best study to date on this period.
