ANONYMOUS SERIES, (c.211-207 B.C.), AE as, (42.1 grams), obv. laureate head of Janus, I above, rev. prow to right, above I, below ROMA, (S.627 [£140 VF], Cr.56/2, Syd.143, BMC 217); similar AE uncia, (5.106 grams), obv. Roma head right, rev. prow of galley to right, ROMA above, pellet below, (S.1307, Cr.56/7, Syd. 143e, BMC 269). Dark brown patina, nearly fine - very fine or better. (2)

The first of the post-reform issues struck shortly after 211 B.C.
