ANONYMOUS ISSUE, (c.115-114 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.922 grams), obv. Roma helmeted head to right, X below, ROMA behind, rev. Roma seated right, wolf and twins before, two birds in field, (S.164 [£55 VF], Cr.287/1, Syd.530). Sligfhtly off centred reverse, otherwise good very fine and scarce.
Ex Stan Baldwin, Wellington and Auckland coin and militaria dealer 1960's=1990's, bought in 1969.
