AUGUSTUS AS OCTAVIAN, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), silver quinarius, uncertain Italian mint (probably Brundisium, maybe Rome), issued 29-27 B.C. (1.646 grams), obv. Octavian bare head to right around CAESAR IMP VII, all within linear circle, rev. ASIA RECEPTA around, Victory draped standing to left, right hand holding wreath and left hand a palm, all on cista mystica between two snakes, (S.1568, RIC 276, C.14, BMC 647). Nearly very fine and scarce.

The subjection of the Province of Asia occured in 30 B.C.
