ELAGABALUS, (A.D. 218-222), silver denarius, Antioch mint, issued A.D. 218-9, (2.536 grams), obv. laureate bust of Elagabalus draped and cuirassed to right, around ANTONINVS PIVS FEL AVG, rev. around HILARITAS AVG, Hilaritas standing to left, with two children, holding patera and long palm, (S.7517, RIC 190, RSC 54). Dark tone, good very fine or better.
