100TH ANNIVERSARY OF DEATH OF WOLFE TONE, 1898, bronze (63mm) by Bender, obv. bust facing left, "HERO OF THE STRUGGLE AGAINST ATROCIOUS BRITISH DESPOTISM", rev. legend, (BHM -); and a French medal, 1832, for monument to General L. Lazare Hoche who led the French army in Ireland and supported Wolfe Tone and the United Irishmen in the rebellion against Britain, bronze (50mm), plain edge original striking. First rare, nearly extremely fine. (2)
