NERO, (A.D. 41-54), AE dupondius, Lugdunum mint, issued A.D. 67, (11.80 grams), obv. laureate head to left, with globe at point of neck [off flan], around IMP NERO CAESAR AVG P MAX TR P P P, rev. SECVRITAS AVGVSTI around, Securitas in relaxed pose enthroned to right, head resting in right hand and holding sceptre in left hand, lighted altar and torch at feet, SC in exergue, (S.1968, RIC 597, BMC 347, C.325). Tiber patina, slightly off centred obverse, otherwise very fine.
