The Society for Organic Petrology awards The Dal Swaine Award annually for the best published paper in inorganic or organic geochemistry and/or mineralogy of coal or hydrocarbon source rocks. It was inaugurated in early 2010 in honour of Dr Delway J.Swaine of the CSIRO and author of various books.
