DOMITIAN, (A.D. 81-96), issued as Caesar under Vespasian, silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 79, (3.32 grams), obv. laureate head of Domitian to right, around CAESAR AVG F DOMITIANVS COS VI, rev. around PRINCEPS IVVENTVTIS, clasped hands holding legionary eagle resting on a prow, (S.2643, RIC 246, RSC 393). Slight surface pitting, once cleaned, otherwise good very fine - nearly extremely fine and rare in this condition.
