TRIO: Egypt Medal, undated reverse, - two clasps - Suakin 1885, Tofrek; Khedive's Star 1884-6; Imperial Service Medal (GVR coinage profile). 1885 Pte H.Cole. 5th L ncers on first medal, second medal unnamed, Henry Cole on last medal. Both named medals engraved, the first renamed. Edge bump on obverse and reverse of first medal, otherwise good fine - very fine.

Unconfirmed details provided with group state that Henry Cole was born at Harden, NSW on 06Mar1861. After service in Soudan he joined the NSW Police Force on 11Feb1888 and was a familiar figure on his horse, leading the Mounted Police at the head of troops marching to embark in WWI. In 1916 he reached the rank of Sergeant and later was made Inspector 2nd Class on 01Aug1919. He left the Police Force on 06Mar1921 after 33 years of service for which he was awarded the Imperial Service Medal.
