EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy IV, (221-205 B.C.), AE 38, copper drachm, (70.67 g), Alexandria mint, issued 253-249 B.C., obv. diademed head of Zeus Ammon to right, rev. eagle to left with open wings, head to right, standing on thunderbolt, around **BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOU*, between legs **SE*, (S.7842, Sv. 992.1, SNG Cop. 205). Attractively toned, very fine and scarce.
