MACEDON, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), uncertain mint (possibly Miletus), silver drachm, (4.09 g), obv.head of young Herakles to right, clad in lion skin, rev. Zeus enthroned left holding eagle and sceptre, his right leg drawn back and feet resting on stool, on right **[A]LEXAND[ROU]*, MH monogram in field on left, (Price -, BMC -, cf.Sear 6730). Uneven flan, very fine and a rare monogram.
