MACEDON, Kingdom of Philip II, (359-336 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.35 g), Amphipolis III mint, issued c323/2-315 B.C., obv. head of Zeus laureate to right, dotted border, rev. naked youth or small man (Philip II), on horseback to right, branch below, and **P.* below right, above **FILIP POU*, (cf.S.6683, Le Rider Pl.46, 11, [p.124], SNG ANS 685-7). Attractive round flan, gash across horse, otherwise extremely fine/nearly extremely fine and rare.
