GROUP OF SEVEN: 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19; 1939-45 Star; Pacific Star; War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45. DEAL 2245-S-. Pte. J.E.Anderton. R.M. on first three medals, NX88621 J.E.Anderton on last four medals. All medals impressed. Fine - very fine.
Together with WWI and WWII riband bars, the first with no pin-back, the second with pin-back.
WWI prefix, number, suffix - DEAL 2245 S: WWI ranks enlisted for Short Service (S) and DEAL with a number indicated ranks that served mostly in miscellaneous units of the Royal Naval Division. DEAL 2245 was in the prefix/number range for RM Divisional Train i.e. DEAL 1501 to DEAL 2762.
