ITALY, Lucania, Metapontum, (c.480 B.C.), silver stater, (7.06 g), obv. six grain ear of corn, traces of [META], rev. six grain ear of corn, incuse, (cf.S.238, Noe 155ff, Class IX, SNG ANS 229-232, HN Italy 1482). Light weight, with surface oxidation around edge on obverse, fine/very fine.
