SICILY, Akragas, (472-420 B.C.), silver litra, (0.61 g), obv. eagle with closed wings to left, AK RA, rev crab, (S.746, BMC 50); others AE 21, trias, (425-406 B.C.), (6.71, 6.96 g), obv. eagle to right holding hare in talons, [AKPA] behind eagle, rev. crab, three dots below, with a crayfish below dots, (S.1023, Calciati I p.181 No.54/3, SNG ANS 1041, cf.SNG Morcom 523); another, Akragas issue under Punic occupation, (c.405-392 B.C.), Countermarked on a hemilitron (27 mm, 15.27 g). Uncertain undertype. C/m: head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress, within circular incuse, (S.1026, Westermark, p. 166; CNS 92 CM, BMC 117). Mostly fine and porous, last scarce. (4)
