ANCIENT BRITISH, North Thames Region, Catuvellauni, Uninscribed coins, Whaddon Chase type, (c.55-45 B.C.),
gold stater, (5.50 g), obv. cross wreath design with two back-to-back crescents in centre, two pellets between, rev. naturalistic horse to right, beaded mane, winged object and three large pellets above, wheel below, (S.32, ABC 2442, Van A 1487, NT 5-6, BMC 331-35, M 137, CCI 04.1100 [this coin]). Nice flan of attractive gold, very sharp wreath, fine horse, extremely fine and scarce.
