SOUTH AFRICA, Durban, A.H.Guy, Contractor, token in cupro-nickel (by Vaughton, Birmingham) for 5/-, 3/- and 6d, all three countermarked G, undated but circa 1885 and probably used when he was in the Kimberley 1878-96 (T.N11; M.52; Hern 260b,d,g). Fine - very fine and rare. (3)

Ex W.J.Noble Sale 61B (lot 1611) and Mark E.Freehill Collections. The first two ex R.J.Ford (lot 903) Collection and the last ex Spink Sale 96 (lot 373 part).
