ISLAMIC, Abbasid, al-Mutawakkil, (A.H. 232-247) (A.D. 847-861), gold dinar, (4.23 g), citing al-Mu'tazz, Merv mint, dated A.H. 247 = A.D. 861, (A.229.3, ICV 401, Wilkes 403). Struck on a small thick flan, weak in places, about fine and very scarce.
