SEVERUS ALEXANDER, (222-235 A.D.), silver denarius, issued 223 A.D., Rome Mint, (3.04 g), obv. laureate bust to right, draped, around IMP C MAVR SEV ALEXAND AVG, rev. PROVIDE N TIA AVG, Providentia standing to left, holding rod and sceptre, (S.7921, RIC 173, RSC 498). Attractive, extremely fine with some mint bloom.
