MC & MID TRIO: Military Cross (GRI); British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19 with MID. Capt. S.W.Hawkins 11th Inf. Bde. A.I.F. on first medal, Captain. S.W.Hawkins. A.I.F. on second medal, and Captain S.W.Hawkins A.I.F. on last medal. The first medal engraved, the other medals impressed. Court mounted, some light contact marks on the last two medals, otherwise good very fine.

MC: LG 3/6/1918, p6473; CAG 7/11/1918, p2111, to Captain Stanley William Hawkins, 35th Australian Infantry Battalion.

Recommendation: For conspicuous ability and distinguished service as Staff Captain during the period 22nd September, 1917 to 31st December, 1917, including operation in the third Battle of Ypres in October, 1917.

MID: LG 28/12/1917, p13563; CAG 18/4/1918, p841, to Captain Stanley William Hawkins, 3rd Australian Pioneer Battalion - for distinguished and gallant service and devotion to duty in the field during the period midnight 26th Feb. 1917, and midnight 20th Sept. 1917.
