SWORD/BAYONET, French Chassepot bayonet with ribbed brass handgrip 'Yataghan' style blade, crosspiece impressed '10870', end of handgrip impressed, 'I.Y'. Considerable oxidation to blade and metal scabbard and other metal parts except brass handgrip, scabbard does not close completely due to oxidation, otherwise very good and a possible renovation project.

^Note: Licence to own required in State of Victoria, Australia.^^No mail out for this lot, collection only from the Sydney Office, or buyer to make own arrangements.
