EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy II, (285-246 B.C.), AE 26, (14.970 grams), Alexandria mint, obv. diademed head of Zeus Ammon to right, rev. eagle to left with open wings, standing on thunderbolt, to left a shield, **S* above, O between legs, around **BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOU*, (cf.S.7779, Sv.586, SNG Cop.123). Dark patina, nearly very fine and rare.
