SAMARIA, Satrap issue, (375-345 B.C.), silver hemi obol, (0.26 grams), obv. female head (Arethusa?), facing, border of dots, rev. bearded male head to left, with crested Athenian helmet, to left in Aramaic retrograde SMRYN, (Meshorer & Qedar 'Coinage of Samaria' [CS], CS 9 [43 known], and Samaria Hoard No.129 [CS], [This Coin illustrated and described]). Very fine for issue and rare.

Ex Samaria Hoard (No.129) and Sotheby, Zurich Sale, October 27-8, 1993 (lot 988 part).
